Spot Cleaning
Alcohol/Beer/Whiskey
- Spray with warm tap water or soda water.
- Blot dry. (Carpet shampoo may also be effective.)
Blood
- Apply cool dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply cool ammonia solution and blot.
- Apply laundry detergent solution.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Burns
- Add one teaspoon of white vinegar to carpet shampoo.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
- Trim burned fibers with scissors. If damage is extensive, call AZ Quick Dry for help.
Chocolate
- Apply cool dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply ammonia solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water. Blot again.
- Apply white vinegar solution.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Coffee/Tea/Cola
- Flush with cold tap water or soda water.
- Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Fruit Juice/Jelly/Soda/Artificial Colors
- Apply dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water and blot.
- Apply laundry detergent solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Gravy/Ketchup/Mustard
- Apply dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
- Apply laundry detergent solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Grass
- Apply laundry detergent solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water, blot again.
- Apply ammonia solution and blot.
- Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Ink (Ball Point)
- Apply dry cleaning solution.
Milk
- Apply warm water or soda water and blot.
- Apply dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply ammonia solution and blot again.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Gum
- Chill with ice cubes.
- Scrape off as much of the gum as possible.
- Apply dry cleaning solution and blot.
Grease/Oil/Clear Salad Dressing
- Apply a dry cleaning solution or carpet shampoo.
Nail Polish
- Apply dry cleaning solution. Blot.
- Apply a non-oily nail polish remover. (Note: Nail polish remover may dissolve some fibers - PRE-TEST FIRST!)
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Mud
- Let dry.
- Brush, scrape or vacuum off as much as possible.
- Apply dish detergent solution.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Urine/Animal Stains
- Apply dish detergent solution and blot.
- Apply ammonia solution. Blot again.
- Rinse with tap water and blot.
- Apply white vinegar solution. Blot again.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
Shoe Polish/Tar
- Apply a dry cleaning solution. Blot.
- Repeat until stain fades.
- Apply dish detergent solution.
- Apply ammonia solution.
- Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
